01 / Type something

Type directly above. Lowercase uses the uppercase key legends.

02 / The character set
! " # $ % & ' ( ) * + - / : ; < = > ? @ £ [ ] ← ↑ → ↓
03 / Function-key labelsClick a legend to insert it into the type tester.

Private-use characters keep the function-key labels separate from ordinary typing.

04 / PETSCII front legendsView reference sheet ↗

All 63 graphic legends, reconstructed as smooth outlines with their cell frames. On each key: Commodore on the left, Shift on the right. Click a symbol to insert it above.

Labels show PETSCII bytes in hexadecimal. These describe C64 uppercase/graphics mode; the font uses separate private-use characters. Shapes and mappings are documented; print weights and proportions are inferred. Pi also works with Commodore + up-arrow.

05 / Perspective and geometry

All 64 core shapes have been reconstructed using explicit geometric assumptions. The original photo traces are retained for comparison. View before and after.
